Cosmetic Injections Sydney NSW

Also known as  ‘Dermal Fillers’   or ‘Anti-Wrinkle injections’

“everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it”   CONFUCIUS

Dermal fillers are used to reduce lines, wrinkles, restore volume due to aging, or enhance volume eg lips and cheeks.

Most popular fillers are the polysaccharide or “sugar based” hyaluron gels.

Other fillers used are the dermal/collagen stimulator fillers used for volumising and contouring the face. To learn about these fillers click here on dermal stimulator fillers.

The development and approval of new skin fillers in the last few years now gives us a much greater choice and better results in reducing wrinkles, creases, depressed scars and lip enhancement.  The doctors at Ada will assess and advise what type of filler will best fulfill your needs.

Dermal Fillers

There are several different types of long term fillers available in Australia.

What areas do dermal fillers treat?

As you can see from our before and after gallery Dermal fillers can be used to treat almost all areas of the face.

From forehead, temples and eyebrow shaping

Cheeks and lower eyelid contouring

Lips and peri-oral creases

On lower face jaw line, jowls and chin

What are the dermal fillers Ada recommends?

These are naturally occurring  polysaccharide or ”sugar” based gels. Their popularity is due to their safety in having virtually no long term risks and  will give a soft natural look with minimal pain or down time. Ada uses only TGA approved dermal fillers.

How long will results last?

Results can last up to 12 months, sometimes longer, depending on the patient’s metabolism and the area treated.

Unique with this type of dermal filler is that they can be completely reversed, should you wish to remove it or should any problems arise. This is done by injecting the specific enzyme that your own skin produces to safely break up the gel.

How is treatment done?

The treatment is in-office, many patients do not require any anesthetic or just a topical cream. No skin testing is required. Many will be able to return to work the next day. All our cosmetic assessment and injections are done by experienced doctors.

Who will do my treatments?

At Ada we only have experienced doctors to do your consultations, treatment planning and injections.  No “dermal or cosmetic injectors” or nurses are used in Ada clinics.

At Ada you will always have a doctor present to tend to your aesthetic and medical needs.

Are there any side effects?

Some small bruising and swelling is normal for most people. This will usually settle in 2-4 days. Make up will cover most small marks.

More noticeable bruising can be treated by returning to the clinic for laser bruise treatment that will see bruising clear often in just 24 hours.

Rare, delayed onset of swelling and/or redness.

Very rare: allergic reaction to the product, consisting of delayed swelling or lumpiness some weeks or months after treatment. With the use of the enzyme hyaluronidase this can be reversed.

Very rare is vascular occlusion leading to skin ulceration or blindness. With the use of the enzyme hyaluronidase these serious complications can be undone in most cases.

Best dermal fillers for me?

Deciding on the best type of dermal filler for you will depend on having a thorough facial skin and aesthetic assessment by our experienced aesthetic doctors.

They will be able to assist you in deciding on an aesthetic treatment plan to achieve a natural, healthy look.
