Skin Removal Scars

Laser has the ability to remove or diminish the appearance of scarring.

Those who have lost a significant amount of weight may find themselves in the position of having scarring after their surgery. For many, the idea of scarring after a body transformation can make you a little concerned about your new figure. In saying that, there are options available to minimise the appearance of these scars so that you can enjoy your new figure to the fullest!

At Home Scar Treatment

Many people who have scars opt for small, inexpensive ways to cover and conceal their scars before taking drastic action some of these ways include:

  • Makeup
  • Oils
  • Massage

Makeup: There are special formulas of makeup available on the market specifically used to conceal scars. This makeup is usually thicker and more dense than traditional makeup. You will need to start with cleansed skin. Clean and exfoliate the area thoroughly. The next step is to apply a good moisturiser and wait for it to absorb into the skin.

Apply the makeup to the scar and surrounding area using a brush or a sponge and blend to ensure there are no streaks or obvious lines. You may want to consult with a makeup artist to learn the most effective makeup application techniques for using your scar concealing makeup.

Oils: Many people swear by the idea of using tissue oils to improve the appearance of scars. Natural oils are your best bet and a relatively inexpensive option in the treatment of scarring. Applying these tissue oils in circular motions to your scarring may improve their appearance over time.

Massage: Scar massage is a method used for softening and flattening scars. This technique is usually used in conjunction with tissue oils. Scar massage helps the appearance of scars by promoting collagen remodeling by applying pressure to scars, helping to decrease itching and providing moisture and flexibility to the scar.
